(Peterborough, ON) - The Firebirds ended Peterborough's five-game win streak with a dominant 7-3 victory over the Petes on Saturday in Flint.
For only the second time this season, the opposing team opened scoring.
Zach Gallant scored his fourth of the season at 6:19 in the first period to tie the game at 1.
The Firebirds scored both of the middle frame's two goals.
Captain Logan DeNoble registered his sixth and seventh goals of the season, separated by a Firebirds tally, to bring the score to 4-3.
It was all Firebird through the remainder of the game, as they scored three unanswered goals to bring the final score to 7-3.
Adam Timleck recorded two assists, while Matt Timms and Declan Chisholm earned single assists.
Goaltender Dylan Wells turned away 24 of 31 shots.

The Petes wrap their Western Conference road trip in Saginaw on Sunday, October 22 for a 5:30pm tilt with the Spirit.
