
Person Earns Goaltender of the Week Honors

ANCHORAGE, Alaska â The West Coast Hockey League has named Ryan Person as its Goaltender of the Week for March 31-April 6.
Person led Anchorage to only its fourth win in 34 games over eight years at the San Diego Sports Arena with 34 saves in a 3-2 victory over the Gulls April 4. He stopped eight of nine shots on goal in relief duty the next night as the Aces dropped their season finale 6-4. Person finished the weekend with a .933 save percentage and closed out the year by going 5-2-1 over his last eight starts and lowering his goals against average from 5.49 to 4.75. His save percentage rose from ..847 to .862 over the final month of the season. Person's second full season as a pro also included a WCHL Goaltender of the Week Award for March 3-9, when he turned away 38 of 40 shots in two wins over Long Beach as Anchorage polished off a three-game sweep of the Ice Dogs.
