Perez Set to Join Celtic for Preseason Training Camp

Cary, N.C. - Midfielder Manny Perez, currently on loan with North Carolina FC, is set to return to his parent club, Celtic FC, for a preseason training camp in Europe from June 25 through early July.

Perez, a former member of the NCFC Youth Academy who played collegiately at N.C. State, will rejoin NCFC on July 4.

The 20-year-old midfielder signed with the Scottish club in January and was immediately loaned to NCFC ahead of the current season. Perez, a Garner native, has experience with the U.S. U-20 National Team and played for the NCFC Youth Academy from 2014-17.

In 11 matches between USL Championship and U.S. Open Cup play, Perez has made seven starts and recorded three assists in 2019.

NCFC faces Saint Louis FC on the road on Saturday, June 22, at 8:30 p.m. ET, and returns home for a match against Nashville SC on Saturday, June 29, at 7 p.m. For tickets and information please visit NorthCarolinaFC.com or call the Coastal Credit Union Box Office at 919-459-8144.
