
Peoria's Peter Di Salvo Named Warrior Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Peter Di Salvo of the Peoria Rivermen is the Warrior Player of the Week for February 19-25.
Di Salvo went 2-0-0, with a 1.50 goals against average and 0.949 save percentage as the Rivermen extended their winning streak to six games and maintained their hold on first place in the SPHL-Ëstandings.
On Friday, the Oakville, ON native stopped 24 shots in a 4-1 win over Huntsville.
Di Salvo turned in another strong performance the following night, making 17 saves in the first period and 32 overall in a 3-2 win over Evansville.
Acquired from Fayetteville on January 24, Di Salvo has gone 8-1-1 with the Rivermen, winning his last six in a row. Now in his fifth SPHL-Ëseason, Di Salvo is currently ranks eighth in career wins with 69.
