
Pensacola Wins against Huntsville, Breaks Losing Streak

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Pensacola Ice Flyers beat the Huntsville Havoc 4-3 in overtime Saturday night. The Ice Flyers goals were scored by Tanner Froese and Brantley Sherwood with Brett D'Andrea scoring the game 1~winning goal in overtime. Sherwood scored twice for the Ice Flyers. Two of the Havoc's goals were scored by Stephen Hrehoriak with the other coming from Hunter Stewart. Ice Flyers outshot the Havoc 40 to 30
Tanner Froese opened up the scoring for Pensacola on a pass from Nathan Bruyere at 7:56 in the first. Assisted by Chris Lijdsman and Matt Harrington at 15:38, Brantley Sherwood put the Ice Flyers up two over the Havoc.
51 seconds into the second Stephen Hrehoriak scored for Huntsville on the power play. He was assisted by Alec Brandrup and Derek Perl. Less than two minutes later at 2:22 Sherwood scored his second goal of the night with assists from Matt Harrington and Andrew Schmit. Hrehoriak scored his second of the game at 14:25. Kyle Sharkey and Pat Condon assisted.
Hunter Stewart tied the game with assists from Peter Sikalis and Rob Darrar 8:30 into the third. Neither team was able to score again, sending it into overtime.
2:38 into overtime, Brett D'Andrea scored on the power play to bring the Ice Flyers the win. He was assisted by Brantley Sherwood and Nathan Bruyere.
NOTES:
Brant Sherwood scored two goals on the night and an assist on the game winning goal.
Matt Harrington assisted on both of Sherwood's goals.
Nathan Bruyere had two assists, one of which was on the game winner.
Brett D'Andrea scored the game winning goal.
