Fri., Mar. 14 - PENGUINS 5 vs. Hamilton 1
Anton Zlobin posted a career-best with three points (2g-1a) in the Penguins' 5-1 win over the Bulldogs at Mohegan Sun Arena. Andrew Ebbett opened the scoring with a shorthanded penalty shot goal 11:45 into the contest.
Sat., Mar. 15 - PENGUINS 4 vs. Norfolk 0
Peter Mannino turned away all 12 shots he faced and recorded his first shutout of the season as Wilkes- Barre/Scranton took down Norfolk by a score of 4-0. Tom Kostopoulos and Bobby Farnham each collected two assists in the contest.
The Week Ahead
Fri., Mar. 21- Penguins at SYRACUSE
This is the ninth match in the 10-game season series. The teams traded 4-0 victories in their last two outings as Wilkes- Barre/Scranton blanked the Crunch at home on Jan. 29, while Syracuse turned the tables in their barn on Feb. 28.
Sat., Mar. 22 - PENGUINS vs. Utica
The Comets (27-27-3-4) have won five of their last six games and are just eight points behind Rockford for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Penguins are 1-0-0-1 this year versus Utica after falling in the shootout, 2-1, in their last meeting on Mar. 8.
Sun., Mar. 23 - Penguins at ALBANY
Devils goaltender Scott Wedgewood was named CCM/AHL Player of the Week after registering back-to-back shutouts last weekend over Hartford and Syracuse. Albany (32-30-3-7) is in seventh place in the Eastern Conference and sits just two points behind the Penguins.
Ice Chips
- Since being recalled on Feb. 28, Peter Mannino is 4-0-1 with a 1.06 GAA, one shutout and a .954 save percentage
- Defenseman Brian Dumoulin has scored in consecutive games for the second time this season (Jan. 10 and 11).
- Andrew Ebbett's shorthanded, penalty-shot goal on Friday was the Penguins' second of the season and first since Harry Zolnierczyk tallied one against Springfield on Dec. 11, 2013.
- Ebbett has compiled three goals and five assists in his last five games.
- Wilkes-Barre/Scranton allowed a season-low 12 shots on Saturday versus Norfolk.
- The Penguins have yet to lose in regulation in the month of March, having gone 5-0-0-1.
