Buoyed by a four-goal second-period outburst, including two from JC Lipon, the IceCaps pounded the Pirates at Mile One Centre to extend their win streak to nine games. Andrew Gordon, Jerome Samson and Jason Jaffray each scored one and added an assist for the IceCaps.
Michael Hutchinson was strong between the pipes for St. John's, meanwhile, stopping 27-of-28 for his 15th win.

Fending off a furious third-period near-comeback, Portland held on to defeat St. John's at Mile One Centre to snap the IceCaps' nine-game winning streak. Adam Lowry, Will O'Neill, Patrice Cormier, and JC Lipon replied for St. John's, which was down by four goals after the opening frame but battled back to within a goal early in the third.

Josh Lunden's first goal of the season stood as the game-winner and Tyler Beskorowany made 29 saves to post his first home win, as St.
John's downed Portland at Mile One. Andrew Gordon and Carl Klingberg also scored for the IceCaps.
Season Tickets: Fans who are not current season ticket holders but wish to make a three-year commitment can do so beginning at noon, tomorrow (Wednesday, March 19th ) by placing a deposit of $150 for the three-year season ticket package. Deposits can be made in person at the Mile One Centre box office (noon-5 p.m.), by phone at 709-576-7657 (noon-5:30 p.m.), or online at www.mileonecentre.com. Season tickets for the 2014-15 season range from $18, $25 to $28 per game, while pricing for 2015-16 and 2016-17 has yet to be determined. Fans can either pay in full or sign on for a four-month payment plan, which commences June 1st. New season ticket holders will also have the option to purchase tickets for the upcoming 2013-14 playoffs at a later date but before the public on-sale of playoff tickets begins. Additionally, new season ticket holders will also be eligible to avail of upcoming IceCaps Entertainment events.
