Guillaume Lepine Released from PTO

Utica Comets Director of Hockey Operations Pat Conacher announced today that the club has released defenseman Guillaume Lepine (ge-OHM la-PEEN) from his professional tryout contract.

Lepine, 27, originally joined the Comets on Feb. 4 and appeared in six games with Utica. He posted two assists and 19 penalty minutes along with a plus-one rating. He will return to the Evansville IceMen where he has recorded 9 points (0-9-9) and 65 penalty minutes.

The Montreal, QC native has notched 27 points (3-24-27) and 359 penalty minutes in 165 career ECHL games with the Elmira Jackals and Evansville IceMen. He spent the 2012-13 with the Nottingham Panthers of the EIHL, which he scored 19 points (4-15-19) and 148 penalty minutes in 50 games.
