Weekly Rewind

Fri., Feb. 14 - Penguins 2 at BINGHAMTON 6

Four first-period goals and a 4-for-9 performance on the power play lifted the Senators to a 6-2 victory over the Penguins in Binghamton.

Sat., Feb. 15 - Penguins 4 at HERSHEY 5

Dustin Gazley tallied two goals, including the eventual game- winner as Hershey outlasted W-B/Scranton, 5-4, at GIANT Center. Down 5-1 in the third, the Penguins scored three times in the final 6:36, but were unable to net the equalizer.

Sun., Feb. 16 - PENGUINS vs. Hershey

In the rematch the following afternoon, Jeff Taffe broke a scoreless tie at 9:05 of the third en route to a 3-1 win for Hershey. Brian Gibbons notched his third shorthanded goal of the season for the Penguins.

The Week Ahead

Wed., Feb. 19 - PENGUINS vs. Binghamton

The first-place Senators (31-15-1-3) have won two in a row, outscoring the opposition, 14-2. Both Binghamton and WBS have two wins on their home ice in the season series.

Sat., Feb. 22 - PENGUINS vs. Providence

Providence (28-18-1-6) has won four in a row to pull into the second spot in the Atlantic Division. The Bruins have scored three goals in six straight matches, going 5-0-0-1.

Tue., Feb. 25 - PENGUINS vs. Hershey

The Penguins will look to break a streak of five straight losses against the Bears (29-16-3-3) in the 12th and final meeting of the regular season series. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is 4-1-0-0 at home this year versus Hershey.

Ice Chips

- Brian Gibbons' shorthanded goal on Sunday was his team- leading third of the season and the eighth overall for the Penguins - tied for second best in the AHL.

- Making his first appearance in the AHL All-Star Classic, Gibbons collected two assists in the AHL All-Stars' 7-2 win over Farjestad BK.

- Jayson Megna's extra attacker goal on Saturday was the first on the road for the Penguins since Jeff Taffe scored against the Portland Pirates on October 25, 2008.

- Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has been perfect on the penalty kill over the last six home games (24-for-24).
