Weekly Rewind

Fri., Feb. 7 - PENGUINS 5 vs. Portland 1

Four third-period goals, including two from Andrew Ebbett, led W-B/Scranton to a 5-1 win over the Portland Pirates. Carter Rowney opened the scoring late in the first with his first WBS goal. The Penguins allowed a season-low 13 shots.

Sat., Feb. 8 - PENGUINS 3 vs. Adirondack 2

Harry Zolnierczyk and Nick Drazenovic each tallied a goal and an assist as the Penguins beat the Adirondack Phantoms, 3-2, to finish up their five-game home stand. Mike Carman scored the eventual game-winning goal at the 9:46 mark of the third period.

Sun., Feb. 9 - Penguins 3 at HERSHEY 4 (OT)

Matt Watkins tallied a goal for Hershey and later set-up teammate Dustin Gazley for the game-winner 47 seconds into overtime. Tom Kostopoulos netted his team-leading 18th goal for W-B/Scranton in the loss.

The Week Ahead

Fri., Feb. 14 - Penguins at BINGHAMTON

The division-leading Senators will look to rebound after dropping three of their last four games. Binghamton (29-15- 1-3) leads the East Division by just one point over the Penguins. W-B/Scranton is 2-0-0-1 against the Senators this season.

Sat., Feb. 15 - Penguins at HERSHEY

Sun., Feb. 16 - PENGUINS vs. Hershey

The Bears are winners of 11 straight at home and are just three points behind the Penguins in the East Division. The Bears moved to 14-4-1-0 in 2014 and have won four out of their last five games against W-B/Scranton.

Ice Chips

- Eric Hartzell leads the league with a 1.93 goals against average (1.93). His string of ten straight starts of allowing two goals or less came to an end on Sunday in Hershey.

- The Penguins overtime loss to the Bears on Sunday was their first all season when leading after the first period (13-0-1-0). W-B/Scranton remains one of two teams in the AHL that is still undefeated when leading after the second period (15-0-0-0).

- The 2014 AHL All-Star Classic festivities begin tonight at Mile One Centre in St. John's Newfoundland. Penguins center Brian Gibbons will skate with the AHL All-Stars versus Sweden's Farjestad BK for the Skills Competition today at 6:30pm EST and All-Star Game tomorrow.
