LEXINGTON, KY. â Lexington Legends outfielder Hunter Pence was named the South Atlantic League's BC Powder Batter Of The Week for the week ending June 6, 2005. This is the second time Pence has been honored with the Batter Of The Week award. He was also selected on May 16, 2005.
Pence hit for a .346 average by getting 9 hits in his 26 at bats including 5 homeruns. Pence also knocked in 9 RBI, scored 6 runs, stole 1 base and posted a .923 slugging percentage in his 7 games played this week.
Hunter currently ranks 1st in the South Atlantic League in homeruns (21), 1st in slugging percentage (.721), 1st in extra-base hits (33), 2nd in RBI (46), 3rd in hits (70), 3rd in runs scored (42) and 5th in batting average (.343).
