Pelicans Set To Welcome 250,000th Fan

The Pensacola Pelicans continue to break attendance records and soar to new heights. The next big milestone will be the 250,000th fan to attend a Pelicans game at Pelican Park. Since 2003, the Pelicans have drawn 247,037 fans, leaving only 2,963 to reach the mark.

The lucky 250,000th fan will win a complimentary beach suite with 25 tickets for a future game, an opportunity to be a guest manager complete with their last name on the back of a jersey, and a an autographed commemorative bat signed by all the Pelicans players.

To date this season, the Pelicans are averaging 2,119 fans per game, an increase from 1,641 per game in 2006. Tonight at Pelican Park immediately following the game there will be a fireworks extravaganza. Tomorrow night is Kids Club Sunday and Hurricane Preparedness Night where the first 1500 fans receive a souvenir flashlight.
