TODAY'S GAME AT A GLANCE: The Pelicans begin their 11th series of the season, as they play game one against the Wilmington Blue Rocks. The first place Pelicans have won seven straight series dating back to their series win over the Winston-Salem Warthogs (4/14-4/16). The Pelicans are repeating their first road trip of the season when they went to Wilmington and Potomac. They defeated the Blue Rocks in games one, two and four to take the series win.

With a win tonight and a Potomac loss to Kinston, the Pelicans will grab the best record in the entire league. As far as the Southern Division is concerned, the Pelicans have been in first place for the last 16 days.

TODAY'S STARTING PITCHERS: In a match-up of right-handers, Ryne Reynoso will make his seventh start of the season for the Pelicans against Greg Holland for Wilmington.

Reynoso: Making his fourth start away from BB&T Coastal Field. Reynoso has earned wins in each of his last three starts. Struggled in his first two starts before turning it on in his last four. He allowed 11 hits and eight runs combined in his first two starts, which spanned just seven total innings. In his last four, he has surrendered 17 hits and just six runs in 23.0 combined innings. Has been solid when pitching with runners in scoring position and two outs, allowing just one hit against 11 batters (.091).

The Sun Valley, Idaho native was signed by the Braves on November 9, 2006. He played his college baseball at Boston College. In his first professional season, he was the closer for the Rome Braves. He secured a team-best nine saves in 40 total appearances.

Holland: Has been used as both a starter (4 games) and a reliever (2 games). In addition to his two wins, he has also earned two saves. In his last start against the Winston-Salem Warthogs (5/3) he pitched in a season-long 6.2 innings and struck out a season-high 10 batters. In 23.1 innings, he has fanned an impressive total of 36 hitters. Holland has factored into the decision in five of his six appearances this year.

A native of Asheville, North Carolina, he was selected in the 10th round of the 2007 draft by the Royals. He played college baseball at Western Carolina University. Last season, he pitched for the Idaho Falls and earned a 6-1 record.

ROAD WARRIORS: The Pelicans are currently the only team in the CL with a winning record on the road, having compiled a 11-7 mark thus far. The Pelicans went 5-2 during their last road trip to Lynchburg and Salem

DOUBLE THE TROUBLE: Over the last week, three different Pelicans have reached 10-game hitting streaks. Two of them, Travis Jones (11-game) and Ernesto Mejia (10-game) will put their streaks on the line tonight against the Blue Rocks. Jon Mark Owings had his 10-game hitting streak snapped on 5/5 against the Potomac Nationals. Jones is hitting .391 over his streak, while Mejia is hitting .439 during his.

CALL TO THE BULLPEN: The Pelicans bullpen has been lights out as of late. On May 7th against Potomac, Kelvin Villa and Brett Butts combined to pitch the final six innings, allowing only five hits. In game two of the series, Jeff Lyman pitched two perfect innings in relief of Deunte Heath. On May 5th, Bryan Dumesnil, Ferdin Tejeda and Nick Fellman all pitched well. On the 4th, agianst Salem, Chris Vines picked up a four inning save, giving up just one hit.
