Brad Peacock tossed a complete game shutout as the Potomac Nationals defeated the Wilmington Blue Rocks 5-0 Monday.

The P-Nats right-hander faced the minimum from the fifth through the ninth inning. He fanned four batters while limiting the Blue Rocks to just five hits. The win was his third of the season. Peacock leads the Carolina League with 107 strikeouts.

Potomac took an early lead, hanging two runs in the first inning. Chris Curran hit a lead-off single and moved to second on a Josh Johnson ground-out. Steve Lombardozzi walked to put runners on first and second for Mike Burgess. Burgess popped out to the catcher for the second out of the inning, but Nick Moresi followed with a two-run double to right-center field.

The P-Nats added to their lead in the third. Again Curran led off with a single up the middle, moved to second on a Johnson walk, and scored on an RBI-single by Lombardozzi to make it 3-0.

Jose Lozada bought the P-Nats some insurance in the eighth, hitting a two-out, two-run triple. The three-bagger plated Moresi and Bill Rhinehart.

Lozada was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Moresi was 2-for-4 with a run and two RBI. Curran was 2-for-5 with two runs and a stolen base. Lombardozzi was 1-for-3 with a run, an RBI and a walk.
