Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
For just the third time this season, the PawSox have won two consecutive road games, taking a 7-6 decision from the Yankees in Scranton on Wednesday night. The victory did not come easily as the Sox overcame a pair of errors on the field and some poor baserunning. They had 4 men either thrown out trying to steal or stretch base hits into extra base hits.
Ramon Ramirez started but didn't get the win. He worked 5 innings allowing 6 runs, only three of the runs were earned. Ramirez had to work hard in the heat and humidity. T.J. Large (3-0) got the win. Robert Manuel and Fernando Cabrera finished the game. Cabrera earned his second save (10) in as many nights.
Lars Anderson got three hits, including a solo homer and an RBI double. Gustavo Molina added a 2 run home run. Niuman Romero knocked home the game winner with a single in the seventh inning.
