
Pavlik's Complete Game Tops Tornadoes, 5-1

Jackals starter Isaac Pavlik pitched the first complete game in the 2011 CanAm League season and limited the Tornadoes to one run in a 5-1 loss in New Jersey on Friday night. Nick Serino was tagged with the loss, going 4.2 innings and surrendering all 5 New Jersey runs. Three of the five runs were unearned, all coming with two outs in the fifth inning. The Jackals hit three consecutive RBI doubles that inning. Ryan Lobban went 2.2 innings in his 2011 Tornadoes debut, allowing just three baserunners. He left the game after catching a line drive off of his hand. Ryan Walfield finished the eighth, retiring both batters he faced. Alex Trezza scored the lone Tornadoes' run in the seventh, when Alex Fernandez knocked him in with a ground out to second base.
