New Jersey 5, Worcester 1

Jackals starting pitcher Isaac Pavlik tossed a complete game, conceding just one earned run on six hits as New Jersey beat the Worcester Tornadoes 5-1. The southpaw struck out two hitters and walked just one in his nine innings pitched. Two runs in the bottom of the second and three runs in the bottom of the fifth were all that the Jackals' bats needed to complement Pavlik's dominant pitching and seal the victory. New Jersey 3B Nick Giarraputo got the scoring started with an RBI double and finished the game 2-for-4 from the plate with a run scored. Left fielder Leonard Davis had two hits in four at-bats with a double, an RBI and a run scored. For Worcester, C Alex Trezza went 1-for-4 at the plate and scored Worcester's lone run in a losing effort.

New York 2, Pittsfield 1

Led by starting pitcher Mike Petrowski, New York beat Pittsfield 2-1 and snapped a ten-game losing skid. Petrowski pitched seven innings and struck out five hitters while only conceding one earned run and three hits. New York pitcher Jon Shepard worked a scoreless ninth inning to preserve the win and earn the save. New York 2B Brad Jackson went 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and LF Stephen Pinto had an RBI single in the top of the seventh. Pittsfield starting pitcher Miguel A. Flores struck out eight hitters and conceded only one earned run in eight innings, despite being the losing pitcher.

Newark 6, Brockton 4

Newark 1B Daryle Ward blasted a three-run homer in the third inning and CF Tim Raines Jr. belted a two-run homerun in the top of the fifth to lead the Bears to a 6-4 victory against the Brockton Rox. Designated hitter Brandon Watson went 2-for-5 from the plate and added an insurance run for Newark with a solo homerun in the ninth inning to stretch the lead to 6-4. Bears starting pitcher Alex Smith conceded three earned runs and five hits in six innings pitched, earning the win. Brockton took an early 1-0 lead, courtesy of 1B Melvin Falu's RBI single in the bottom of the first. Falu finished 2-for-4 from the plate with an RBI and a run scored. Rox DH Chris Grossman had two hits in four at-bats and a run scored in a losing effort.

Quebec 8, Rockland 4 (Game played in Trois-Rivieres, QC)

Catcher Pete LaForest led Quebec with a double and three RBIs as the Capitales defeated the Rockland Boulders 8-4. LaForest went 2-for-3 from the plate and also scored a run. Quebec CF Goefrey Tomlinson picked up two RBIs with a single in the second inning. Designated hitter Dan Barbero had two hits in five at-bats for Quebec with an RBI and a run scored. Quebec starting pitcher Matthew Rusch struck out three hitters and conceded just one earned run on five hits in six innings pitched, earning the win. For Rockland, 1B Norm Hutchins went 2-for-4 at the plate and collected three RBIs despite the Rockland loss.
