Paul Hoilman and Rafael Lopez Named to the 2011 Northwest League All-Star Team

BOISE, ID- Two Boise Hawks were recently named to the 2011 Northwest League All-Star Team, as voted on by the managers of the Northwest League. First basemen Paul Hoilman and catcher Rafael Lopez.

Hoilman has posted a .253 batting average this season, leads the NWL with 16 home runs and is second in the league with 46 walks. He also leads the Hawks with 42 RBI. Hoilman hit his 16th home run of the season Tuesday night to tie the Hawks single-season record.

Lopez is sixth in the league with a .311 batting average, ripping 5 home runs this season with 33 RBI, second only to Hoilman for Boise. The Hawks' backstop has started 27 games behind the plate this year.

The team was affiliated with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from 1990-2000 and have been with the Chicago Cubs since 2001.
