BOISE, Idaho - Jose Rosario tossed six shutout innings and Paul Hoilman hit his club-record 17th home run of the season, lifting the Boise Hawks to a 10-1 victory over the Vancouver Canadians, before 3,193 fans at Memorial Stadium.

After getting double-play balls to get out of trouble in the first two innings, Rosario settled down, retiring 13 men in a row at one stretch, striking out six, to pick up his sixth win of the season - the first time since 2008 that a Boise pitcher has won six ina season.

The Hawks jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead in the first, loading the bases with two out, with Kyung-Min Na scoring on a wild pitch, followed by a long three-run homer by Reggie Golden. An inning later, Rafael Lopez had a sacrifice fly, Ryan Cuneo lined an RBI double, with Hoilman launching a two-run shot, breaking the team record of 16 homers set by Russ Canzler in 2006.

Na, Golden, and Willson Contreras, who hit his second homer of the year in the third, each had two hits for the Hawks - who combined to hit three homers in a game for the fifth time this season.

The Canadians got two hits from Jon Berti in the loss - avoiding the shutout with a Yeico Aponte RBI double in the eighth inning.

Game 3 of the series is tomorrow night, with Austin Reed meeting Jesse Hernandez at 6:45 p.m.
