PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today announced that they have activated forward Paul Harris. Harris had been waived due to injury on January 5 following the aggravation of a prior back injury. To make room for Harris on the roster, the Red Claws have waived Durrell Summers. Harris is expected to be in the lineup today as the Red Claws take on the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 1 PM during the 2012 NBA Development League Showcase at Reno, NV.

Harris rejoined the Red Claws in early December for his second season following the birth of his third son. In 8 games played this season, Harris is the team's second leading scorer, averaging 16.6 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. The team's 2009 first round selection, he missed the team's inaugural season due to a serious ankle injury suffered prior to the 2009-10 season. Harris left the team in late January 2011, signing with the Talk-N-Text Tropang Texters of the Philippine Basketball Association and leading the team to the Commissioner's Cup with a double-double (18 pts, 10 rebounds) in the championship game. He averaged 26.6 ppg during the regular season, and following the conclusion of the Philippines playoffs, Harris joined a team in the Dominican Republic.
