Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010 Swift Current Broncos 5 Regina Pats2

The Pats were death a lethal blow to their playoff chance this past Tuesday night in Swift Current in a 5-2 loss to the Broncos. A 2:54 span in the second period saw the Broncos score three straight times to put the blue and white in a deep 3-0 hole and they couldn't recover from there. Jordan Eberle had a goal and an assist in the loss.

Friday, March 5th, 2010 Regina Pats 4 Lethbridge Hurricanes 2

The Pats welcomed the Lethbridge Hurricanes Friday night and saw themselves down 2-1 after the first period. From there the blue and white scored three times en route to the 4-2 win. Jordan Weal picked up a pair of goals and Hampus Gustafsson notched a couple of assists, while Dawson Guhle stopped 20 shots for his 8th win of the season.

Saturday, March 6th, 2010 Regina Pats 6 Prince Albert Raiders 3

The Pats domination of the Prince Albert Raiders continued on "Fan Appreciation Night" as the blue and white cruised to a 6-3 win. Jordan Weal had a pair of goals and an assist, while with 4 assists, Jordan Eberle became the first player to hit the 100 points mark as a Pat since Ronald Petrovicky did it in 1997-98. Damien Ketlo picked up his 19 win of the season between the pipes.

Defensive Scoring:

The Pats have three defencemen in the team's top ten. Colten Teubert leads with 40 points; Brandon Davidson and Cody Carlson have 30.

Race for the Goal Title:

Jordan Eberle is currently 2nd in the WHL goal scoring with 46. Spokane Chief forward, Kyle Beach is tops in the league with 51 while the Broncos Cody Eakin is 3rd with 45. Eberle is currently second in power play goals with 18.

Race for the Assist Title:

17 year old forward, Jordan Weal is currently 2nd in the WHL's assist race with 64, trailing Calgary's Brandon Kozun by 3 helpers.

Rookie Scoring Race:

18 year old rookie defenceman, Brandon Davidson is the team leader in rookie points with 31. Hampus Gustafsson is right behind him right now with 30, and is the top rookie goal getter with 11.

2 Hit the Century Mark:

With Jordan Eberle hitting the 100 point mark and Jordan Weal just a point away, this would be the first time since the 1995-96 season that a pair of Regina Pats have hit the century mark. That year, Josh Holden had 112 points and Rhett Gordon picked up 103.

Battle of Top Three WHL/CHL Scorers:

The 2 Regina Pats are in the hunt for the Bob Clarke Trophy, which goes to the league's top scorer. Both Eberle and Weal have a chance to hit 100 points for the first time since Ronald Petrovicky did the trick in 1997-98 with 113 points (Blake Evans scored 102 points in 2000-01, but 59 were with the Tri-City Americans). The last Regina Pat to lead the league in scoring was Dale Derkatch in 1982-83 with 179 points.

Sportsman's Dinner is set for March:

The annual Regina Pats Sportsman's Dinner is set for March 8th at the Delta Inn. The doors open at 6pm with cocktails, the dinner and ceremonies begin at 7pm. Kevin Lowe will be the guest speaker. Get your tickets by dropping by the Regina Pats office, or call 522-PATS for more information.

Goals for Kids:

With the Pats scoring 12 times this week gives them a season total of 239; the Prairie Mobile Communications "goals for kids" fund is now up to $3585. $15 from every goal scored will be donated to the Ranch Ehrlo Outdoor Hockey League, courtesy of Prairie Mobile Communications.

The Pats will finish off the 2009-10 regular season with three games, two on the road

Wednesday, March 10th Regina @ Saskatoon

This will be the Pats eighth and final game of the season against the Saskatoon Blades, they have played well against one of the East Division's top teams with a 3-3-0-1 mark.

Friday, March 12th Lethbridge @ Brandon

The Pats will host the Memorial Cup host Brandon Wheat Kings in their final home game of the season.

Saturday, March 13th Regina @ Brandon

The final game of the season will be the back half of a home and home series with the Brandon Wheat Kings, on the road at Westman Communications Group Place in Brandon
