Week in Review
Friday, January 8th Moose Jaw Warriors 5 Regina Pats 2
It was the return of Jordan Eberle and Colten Teubert to the Pats lineup after winning a silver medal at the World Junior Hockey Championships. The Moose Jaw Warriors spoiled the homecoming party with a 5-2 win at the Brandt Centre. Jordan Eberle was held of the scoreboard for only the fifth time this season, while Brett Leffler and Garrett Mitchell scored for the Pats in the loss.
Friday, January 9th Regina Pats 6 Medicine Hat Tigers 5 so
The newly formed line of Carter Ashton, Jordan Weal and Jordan Eberle combined for 9 points, but the Pats still needed a shoot-out to take out the Medicine Hat Tigers 6-5. Also scoring for the Pats was Matt Strueby and Colten Teubert. Jordan Weal scored the shoot-out winner, while Brett Martyniuk won his second game as a Pat.

Delahey to Chilliwack:
The WHL trade deadline came and went on Sunday with the Pats making just a single deal. 20 year old Matt Delahey, who has spent his whole career with the blue and white, was sent to the Chilliwack Bruins in exchange for 20 year old defenceman, Mitch McColm.
Heartbreak in Saskatoon:
It was heartbreak at the World Junior Hockey Championships for Colten Teubert and Jordan Eberle and their Team Canada teammates. Eberle scored twice late in the game to tie it at five, but the U.S. scored the overtime winner for the 6-5 win. Colten Teubert had another solid tournament with an assist and was fifth on the team with a +5. Jordan Eberle was tops in scoring for Canada with 8 goals and 5 assists.
Hutt heads home:
With the concussion he suffered in Medicine Hat on December 27th, as well as a re-inflammation of the cyst he had removed in the summer, 18 year old Killian Hutt is done for the season, and headed home earlier this weekend
Huge Month:
With the Pats in full chase mode in the Eastern Conference playoff race, January is a make or break month.6 of their 8 games in the month are at home with all of them coming against teams in the Conference and 6of them divisional opponents.
Eberle topping the charts:
Jordan Eberle is currently the Pats active leader in goals with 134 for his Pat career. This puts him into the top 20 all time and pushes in a tie with Dirk Graham (75-79) for 10th all time, and is 11 back of Brett Lysak for 9th. Eberle's 267 points pushes him past Taylor Hall (81-84) and now trails Dirk Graham by 16 points for 14th on the all-time list.

*Garrett Mitchell is on a 6 game point streak (3g 4a) games and has set single season highs in goals, assists and points,.
*Jordan Eberle 28 points in his last 12 games (14g 14a)
Milestones:
*Jordan Eberle is the active Pat career leader in points with 264. He is also the current active Pat career leader in goals (134), assists (130), points (264), game winning goals (27), power play goals (53) and shorthanded markers (13). He has been held pointless just 5 times this season.
*Brett Leffler scored his 70th goal last week and 9 points away from 150 in his WHL career and is now 4th on the Pats all-time games played list with 282 tying Matt Hubbauer for 4th and is 5 back of David McDonald for third all-time.
*Colten Teubert is 1 point away from 100 for his WHL career, 14 away from 250 career games
*Matt Strueby is a goal away from 60 in his career and is 21 games away from 200.
Around the office:
Sportsman's Dinner is delayed:
With the World Juniors, the Trans-Canada clash, as well as the Motley Crue concert, the Regina Pats Sportsman's dinner has been postponed for later this season. It was originally scheduled for January 28th, but is tentatively scheduled now for sometime in March.
Goals for Kids:
With the Pats scoring 8 times this week gives them a season total of 157; the Prairie Mobile Communications "goals for kids" fund is now up to $2355. $15 from every goal scored will be donated to the Ranch Ehrlo Outdoor Hockey League, courtesy of Prairie Mobile Communications.
In the Community:
The Pat players will make an appearance this Tuesday at St. Angela School and on Thursday at Balgonie School for the Project 1st Goal anti-drug program.

Wednesday, January 13th Brandon @ Regina
The Memorial Cup host, Brandon Wheat Kings come to town for the third time this season. They bring with them World Junior forward, and Jordan Eberle's line mate at the tournament, Brayden Schenn, as well as top line forwards Scott Glennie and Matt Calvert.
Friday, January 15th Edmonton @ Regina
A new look Edmonton Oil Kings will be at the Brandt Centre for the second and final time this season. The sent away Brett Breitkreuz and Tomas Vincour to the Vancouver Giants on Sunday's trade deadline for a trio of players. The Pats won the last meeting at the Brandt Centre in December.
Saturday, January 16th Swift Current @ Regina
The Pats will welcome the Swift Current Broncos for the first time since October 25th. This will be the first of 3 straight meetings with the Broncos, finishing with a home and home set next weekend.
