Prince Albert Raiders News Release
Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - The Prince Albert Raiders will be taking part in a number of off-ice activities as well as playing three Western Hockey League games this week.
Here is their itinerary
Monday, January 11
Practice - 1:00 - 3:00 PM
Raiders Ryan Button, Garrett Taylor, Jordan Kochan, Andrew Herle, Jamie Tucker and Brandon Herrod will join other Prince Albert hockey players to line the final corridor when the Olympic Torch Relay arrives in downtown Prince Albert at 7:00 PM. The players will form a line on either side of the route for Blair Morgan who will proceed to light the cauldron on stage just north of Memorial Square.
Tuesday, January 12
Calgary Hitmen at Raiders - 7:00 PM
Debut of newly acquired defenseman Stefan Warg. Warg, 6'3" and 215 pounds was acquired at the trade deadline from the Seattle Thunderbirds for a draft pick. Warg is an NHL draft pick of the Anaheim Ducks.
Wednesday, January 13
Practice - 1:00 - 3:00 PM
The first Future Raiders session will occur with Raiders attending a practice of each Novice team in the Prince Albert Minor Hockey Association. Craig McCallum and Jonathan Parker will be at the practice of the Novice II Rangers at 5:30 at the East End Community Club. Future Raiders are sponsored by Frank Dunn Toyota, Source for Sports, SaskPro Hockey, Old Dutch and the Prince Albert Daily Herald.
Thursday, January 14
Practice - 1:00 - 3:00 PM
Future Raiders program continues with Dustin Cameron and Harrison Ruopp at the practice of the Novice I Stars at the Crescent Heights Arena at 5:30 PM.
Friday, January 15
Medicine Hat Tigers at Raiders - 7:00 PM
SaskTel Night! A BlackBerry phone courtesy SaskTel will be won by a lucky Raider fan! And giant puzzles will be featured on ice during the second intermission.
Saturday, January 16
Raiders at Moose Jaw Warriors - 7:00 PM - 900 CKBI & WHL Web TV
