ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 25-15-1-2 record (15-7-1-1 at home, 10-8-0-1 on the road, 4-1 in overtime, 3-2 in shootouts) and are in fifth place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE and tied for eighth place overall in the WHLThe ICE have won a season high nine games in a row (franchise record is 11 games set from January 2-29, 2005) and are 20-4-1-2 since October 30thThe ICE will play ten of their next 13 games on the road, including six of their next seven contests.
TIM HORTONS NIGHT: On Saturday, January 16 when the ICE host SPOKANE it will be TIM HORTONS NIGHTFans in attendance will have the opportunity to watch TIMBITS HOCKEY in action and win prizes from TIM HORTONS.

INJURIES / TRANSACTION: Forward DOMINIK PACOVSKY will be out of the ICE line week to week with a broken footForwards KEVIN KING (knee) and STEELE BOOMER (face) will both be out of the KOOTENAY line up day to dayThe ICE traded Defenseman PETR SENKERIK to the PRINCE GEORGE COUGARS in exchange for a fifth round pick in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft on January 10th.
ONE YEAR AGO: After 43 games of the 2008-2009 season the ICE were 19-18-2-4, after 44 games 20-18-2-4 and after 45 games 21-18-2-4.
