One of the Blade markers came on the power play on 9 chances, the Pats couldn't get anything going with the man-advantage running at 0/4. For the second night in a row, the Pats played well enough to win, but couldn't fine the back of the net losing 3-0 to the Brandon Wheat Kings. Brandon outshot the Pats 31-25, but Damien Ketlo was fantastic stopping all but two of them.
Three Return from NHL Camp:
The Pats received some great news this week with the return of three players from NHL training camps. The Washington Capitals returned Garrett Mitchell last Thursday, and just this past weekend Matt Delahey (New Jersey) and Colten Teubert (Los Angeles) were sent home to Regina.
Kets Solid Between The Pipes:
In his first two games as the outright starting goaltender for the Regina Pats, Damien Ketlo proved the coaches right in their decision. He stopped 65 of 72 shots in the losses to Saskatoon and Brandon for a save percentage of .903
New Jersey's:
Across the CHL, teams launched the new RBK EDGE jerseys. The Regina Pats have a few changes to their uniforms this season, with the blues having full red shoulders with red numbers and white trim accompanied by red helmets. The white jersey will have solid blue shoulders with blue numbers and red trim. The blue jersey's were debuted Friday in Saskatoon, while the white were on stage Saturday for the home opener.
Two Make Their Debut:
A pair of Regina Pat defencemen made their WHL debuts this weekend. 16 year-old rookie Tyler Borstmayer and 18 year-old, Brandon Davidson both played well in their first ever major junior action.
