
Pats Grab Crucial Two Points With 4-3 Win Over Raiders

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats picked up a crucial two points on Saturday against their conference rival, defeating the Prince Albert Raiders 4-3 inside the Brandt Centre.
With the Pats leading 2-0 after 40 minutes of action, the Raiders tied the game 2-2 early in the third, getting goals from Krzysztof Macias and Sloan Stanick in the opening four minutes of the frame. The Pats would answer, getting a go-ahead goal from Tye Spencer to make it 3-2 shortly after the Raiders tied it.
Anthony Wilson added insurance to make it a 4-2 game in the final two minutes of the third. He was credited with the game-winning-goal as the Raiders made it a one-goal game late in the period.
Kelton Pyne picked up his ninth win of the season, making 26 saves, leading the Pats to their first win of the season against the Raiders. Tanner Howe tallied two assists while Jaxsin Vaughan and Sam Oremba reached double-digit goals. Spencer and Wilson rounded out the scoring, helping the Pats to their second victory in their last three games.
The Raiders three game point-streak come to a close. Sloan Stanick (1G-1A), Macias and Dube scored for Prince Albert while Max Hildebrand made 24 saves in the loss.

First Period
1-0 Pats at 10:55 - Jaxsin Vaughan (10), unassisted // Vaughan stole a pass in the Raiders zone at the top of the circle and he fired a snapshot that beat Hildebrand to give the Pats a 1-0 lead.
Second Period
2-0 Pats at 16:38 - Sam Oremba (10), assisted by Ty Gibson & Tanner Howe (PP) // Howe sent a cross-ice pass to Gibson and from the left point, he fired a slapshot that was kicked right to Oremba who fired it past Hildebrand to double the Pats' lead at 2-0.
Third Period
2-1 Raiders at 1:40 - Krysztof Macias (15), assisted by Niall Crocker & Sloan Stanick (PP) // Crocker's shot deflected off Pyne and to Macias who got the shot off and behind the Pats' goalie to get the Raiders on the board at 2-1.
2-2 Raiders at 3:22 - Sloan Stanick (18), assisted by Brayden Dube // A turnover at the Pats line gave Stanick a free lane to the Pats net and as he was being stick checked, he tucked the puck past Pyne to tie the game at 2-2.
3-2 Pats at 5:35 - Tye Spencer (11), assisted by Braxton Whitehead & Tanner Howe (PP) // Howe's shot is stopped but the rebound was directed to Whitehead and his shot was also stopped but Spencer collected one last rebound, and put it past Hildebrand to restore the Pats one-goal lead at 3-2.
4-2 Pats at 18:17 - Anthony Wilson (4), assisted by Carson Haynes & Kelton Pyne // Wilson, on a rush kept and shot, beating Hildebrand short side to give the Pats a 4-2 lead late in the game.
4-3 Raiders at 19:05 - Brayden Dube (10), unassisted // Dube took the puck deep into the Pats zone and from just outside the goal line wired the puck shot side to pull the Raiders to within one at 4-3 late.
