Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats Hockey Club has announced they have acquired 18-year-old goaltender Keegan Maddocks from the Victoria Royals in exchange for 20-year-old forward Carter Massier.

Maddocks, from Langley, British Columbia, spent the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons at the Delta Hockey Academy prior to joining the Royals last year, following a short stint with the White Rock Whalers of the PIJHL.

"We are pleased to have Keegan join us as we prepare for the upcoming season," said Pats VP of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Paddock. "He gives us some great depth in goal and we're really looking forward to having him in the mix, going into training camp."

Massier (6'1, 176) was signed by the Pats in 2018 and has appeared in 91 games since, scoring 13 goals and 27 points in Regina.

"We wish Carter all the best in Victoria," said Paddock. "He has been a good player for us on and off the ice over the past three seasons."

The Regina Pats 2021 training camp kicks off on September 1st with the season home opener happening on Saturday, October 2nd at the Brandt Centre.
