Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots defeated the York Revolution 3-2 before 7,390 fans at TD Bank Ballpark on Sunday afternoon.
With the score tied 2-2 in the bottom of the ninth inning, Jesse Hoorelbeke hit a game-winning single to plate Freddie Bynum, who singled earlier in the inning, for the 3-2 win.
Two solo home runs in the second inning by Hoorelbeke (10) and Yusuf Carter (5) put the Patriots up 2-0.
The Revolution tied up the game with two runs in the third on a two-run single by Chris Nowak.
Chase Wright (2-0) earned the win for Somerset, allowing a hit over 1.2 innings of relief. Adam Thomas (2-2) suffered the loss for the Revolution.
The 7,390 in attendance helped the Somerset Patriots set a new Atlantic League weekend attendance record with 22,200 fans, topping their previous league record of 22,175 set in 2005.
