
Patriots Double up Riversharks 6-3

Camden, NJ - The Somerset Patriots (46-18) defeated the Camden Riversharks (26-38) 6-3 Monday evening at Campbell's Field.
In the top of the third inning first baseman David Vidal ripped a RBI single to give Somerset a 1-0 advantage.
Third baseman Joel Guzman blasted a two run home run (4) in the bottom of the third inning to give Camden a 2-1 lead.
The Patriots retook the lead in the top of the fourth inning as center fielder Scott Cousins hit a RBI fielder's choice and left fielder Aharon Eggleston hit a RBI sacrifice fly to make the score 3-2.
Shortstop Robert Andino lifted a RBI sacrifice fly to increase the Somerset lead to 4-2 in the top of the fifth inning.
Shortstop Zack MacPhee sliced a RBI single in the ensuing half inning to cut the deficit in half at 4-3.
Somerset added a pair of insurance runs thanks to a two RBI single by designated hitter Thomas Neal making the score 6-3 in the top of the eighth inning.
Randy Boone earned the win (4-1) tossing seven innings of three run baseball. Sean Gleason sustained the loss (4-6) hurling six innings while surrendering four runs. Jon Hunton notched the save (16) pitching the final inning.
