Pat Bateman Assigned From Springfield

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons, has announced left wing Pat Bateman has been assigned to the Thunder from Springfield.

Bateman, 25, signed an AHL contract with Springfield this summer and made his professional debut with the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL in 2006-07, appearing in three games.

Previously, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound power-forward spent four years (2003-07) of his college hockey career at Northern Michigan University (NCAA), scoring 87 points (36g-51a) with 329 penalty minutes in 151 career games with the Wildcats. Bateman achieved career-highs twice as a 2004-05 sophomore and 2005-06 junior with 29 points, registering a career-high 12 goals in 2004-05. The Calgary, Alberta native served the Wildcats as team captain as a 2006-07 senior.
