Chicago Sky News Release
A day after Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot declared Sept. 16 to be 'Candace Parker Day,' it was only fitting that Sky forward Candace Parker led the team in points scored (20) on Friday evening. The former first overall pick made 50% of her shots from the field.
Sky forward Kahleah Copper finished the game with 18 points and converted 8 of her 14 shots from the floor. She leads all Sky scorers in average points per game (14.5) entering the team's final regular season matchup on Sunday.
Chicago made the most of a good number of mistakes that Las Vegas committed, having forced 15 turnovers. In addition, Chicago scored 21 points off Las Vegas turnovers.
NEXT UP: The Chicago Sky concludes its 2021 regular season with a matchup against the Indiana Fever at Wintrust Arena this Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m. CT and fans can cheer on the Sky on CBS Sports Network / The U before the 2021 WNBA Playoffs begin.
