Palm Beach Cardinals News Release

The Palm Beach Cardinals won a shortened game, due to rain, against the St. Lucie Mets 1-0.

Max Rajcic pitched all five innings for the Cardinals. The righty continued his dominance this season, allowing no runs and lowering his ERA to 1.59. The Californian struck out three batters and allowed four hits and one walk. Rajcic excelled in getting out of trouble, keeping the Mets to being 1-5 with runners in scoring position.

The Palm Beach offense benefited greatly from a first inning run. R.J. Yeager got hit by a pitch, one of two on the day, and was immediately followed by a Leonardo Bernal RBI double. Not much else happened on offense, as the Cardinals left the bases loaded in the second inning and were a total of 0-6 with runners in scoring position.

Palm Beach and St. Lucie are back at it on Saturday June 17th at 4:00 pm. It will be PBS Night at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, with appearances from some of everyone's favorite PBS characters. Tickets can be found here.

For those wondering about their firework tickets from this game, the tickets will be redeemable at the makeup firework game TBD.
