
Pair of Fish added to North All-Star squad

The best guy to start the game for Winnipeg and the best one to finish it are going to Joliet.
Southpaw starter Roger Luque and right-handed closer Oscar Montero were added today to the North Division squad that will play at the 2004 NL All-Star Game on July 20 in Joliet.
It's the second straight all-star nod for Luque and the first for Montero. Entering tonight's action vs. Sioux Falls, Luque is 5-1 with a 3.72 earned run average, tossing 43 strikeouts with just 19 walks in a team-best 67.2 innings. He is the current Daktronics Northern League Pitcher of the Week.
Montero is 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA and nine saves, fanning 25 while walking just 11 in 18.1 innings. He has allowed just one earned run in his last 18 appearances.
The pair of pitchers join third baseman and three-time all-star Pat Scalabrini as Goldeyes who will be among the 22 players to represent the North.
