MEMPHIS, TN - Tucson topped Memphis 8-2 Friday night at AutoZone Park.

The Padres jumped out to a 2-0 lead in second inning off a two-run homer by Pedro Feliz and tacked three more on in the fifth with a solo home run to right field by Drew Macias, a sacrifice fly by Steve Tolleson and an RBI-double Anthony Rizzo. Freddie Bynum's triple to right field plated Andrew Brown in the fifth to put the ‘Birds on the board while Matt Carpenter's RBI-double drove in the second and last run for Memphis in the sixth. Carpenter's hit extended his streak to 17 games, the longest streak of any Redbird this season. Rizzo hit a two-run homer in the seventh to extend the Padres' lead 7-2 before Jarrett Hoffpauir hit another bomb in the ninth for Tucson's last run.

Memphis starter Blaine Boyer gave up five runs on nine hits for his second loss of the season. Boyer walked one while not striking out a batter over a season-high five innings of work. Jon Leicester picked up the win for the Padres allowing two runs on six hits over six innings while walking two and striking out one.

The Redbirds and Padres play tomorrow night with game time slated for 7:05 p.m. and fireworks to follow the game. AutoZone Park will host Organ Donor Night tomorrow with the team sporting organ jerseys that will be auctioned off silently during and three jerseys will be auctioned off live after the fireworks.
