
P-Bruins Shutout Hershey 4-0

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins defeated the Hershey Bears 4-0 Sunday evening at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The P-Bruins got goals from Ben Walter, Jonathan Sigalet, Eric Healey and Jason MacDonald. The P-Bruins are now 34-25-1-3 on the season, 72 points and in fourth place in the Atlantic Division.
The P-Bruins took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission after Walter scored his 13th goal of the season at the 14:19 mark. Pascal Pelletier sent the puck into the zone, where it was pick up by Nathan Robinson in the right corner. Robinson gave the puck to Walter as he was cutting in between the circle and Walter got it over the right shoulder of Hershey goaltender Maxime Daigneault.
In the second period the P-Bruins extended their lead to 2-0. At the 17:39 mark, while on the power play, David Lundbohm worked the puck down the right wing to Robinson who was waiting at the Hershey blueline. He sent a cross ice pass to Sigalet at the left face off circle. Sigalet shot the puck off the post and into the net. The P-Bruins went into the second intermission leading 2-0.
In the third period, the P-Bruins scored their second power play goal of the evening. Lundbohm sent the puck to Healey, who as in front of the net and he put it past Daigneault for his fourth goal of the weekend. Sigalet had a second assist. The P-Bruins added one more insurance goal at the 19:01 mark when Lunbohm passed the puck out of the P-Bruins zone to Pelletier down the left wing. MacDonald was cutting down the right wing towards the net and Pelletier put the puck on his stick as MacDonald flipped it past Daigneault. The P-Bruins went on to the 4-0 victory.
Jordan Sigalet earned his first professional shutout stopped 34 shots for the P-Bruins, while Daigneault stopped 18 of 22 shots for the Bears. The P-Bruins were 2 for 5 on the power play, while Hershey was 0 for 6 on the man-advantage.
The P-Bruins are back at home at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday, March 17 versus the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:05 p.m. Fans will receive stress pucks courtesy of Regional Mortgage.
