
P-Bruins Fall To Sharks 2-1

Worcester, MA - The Providence Bruins fell to the Worcester Sharks 2-1 Saturday evening at the DCU Center. The P-Bruins got their goal from Levi Nelson. The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday at 7:05 p.m. for Visor Night against the Portland Pirates.
The Sharks took a 1-0 lead at the 18:59 mark of the opening period. Dan DaSilva tallied his 16th goal of the season, while Andrew Desjardins and Mike Moore recorded the assists. Worcester led 1-0 going into the first intermission.
Worcester made it 2-0 only ten seconds into the second intermission. John McCarthy netted his 11th goal of the season, while DaSilva and Desjardins picked up the assists. Providence pulled within a goal at the 14:41 mark. Trent Whitfield sent the puck into the zone, where Ned Lukacevic picked it up behind the net. He found Nelson at the right face-off circle, who scored his seventh goal of the season. The Sharks led 2-1 going into the second intermission.
After a scoreless third period, the Sharks went onto the 2-1 victory.
Dany Sabourin stopped 33 of 35 shots for the P-Bruins, while Frank Doyle made 24 saves for the Sharks. The P-Bruins were 0-for-3 on the power play and 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.
