
P-Bruins Fall to Bears 4-3

Hershey, PA - The Providence Bruins fell to the Hershey Bears 4-3 Wednesday evening at the Giant Center. The P-Bruins got their goals from David Warsofsky, Tyler Randell and Josh Hennessy. The P-Bruins are back at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday, December 2 for BankRI Rally Towel Night at 7:05 p.m. against the Connecticut Whale.
The Bears took a 1-0 lead 18 seconds into the opening period. Chris Bourque tallied his tenth goal of the season, while Keith Aucoin and Boyd Kane recorded the assists. Providence tied the game at one at the 8:27 mark. Warsofsky caused a turnover in the neutral zone and skated down the right boards. He took a shot and the puck went off the pads of Bears net minder Dany Sabourin and trickled into the net for his first goal of the season. Hershey retook the lead at the 12:59 mark. Brett Flemmingnetted his second goal of the season, while Jacob Micflikier and Ryan Potulny picked up the assists. The Bears led 2-1 going into the first intermission.
Hershey made it 3-1 at the 17:35 mark of the second period, while on the power play. Patrick McNeill scored his first goal of the season, with Graham Mink and Aucoin getting the assists. Providence pulled within a goal at the 18:07 mark. Calle Ridderwall held the puck halfway up the left boards and fed it to Craig Cunningham in the corner. He found Randell in the low slot, who scored his second goal of the season. The Bears led 3-2 going into the second intermission.
The Bears grabbed a 4-2 lead 34 seconds into the third period. Kane tallied his seventh goal of the season, while Aucoin and Bourque had the assists. The P-Bruins once again pulled within a goal. At the 6:59 mark, while on the power play, Hennessy dug the puck out of a pile of players along the boards and skated towards the crease. He fired the puck into the back of the net from the right faceoff circle for his fifth goal of the season. The Bears held on for the 4-3 victory.
Anton Khudobin stopped 26 of 30 shots for the P-Bruins, while Sabourin made 24 saves for the Bears. The P-Bruins were 1-for-6 on the power play and 2-for-3 on the penalty kill.
The P-Bruins continue their three game road trip Friday at the Norfolk Scope against the Norfolk Admirals at 7:30 p.m. and wrap up road trip in Norfolk on Saturday at 7:15 p.m. The P-Bruins return to The Dunk Friday, December 2 for BankRI Rally Towel Night at 7:05 p.m. against the Whale.
