
Owlz See Winning Streak Snapped in Late Rally vs Rockies

OREM - Grand Junction had one goal entering game four of the four game series vs the Orem Owlz. Do not get swept. Goal accomplished. Despite a late rally by the Owlz in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rockies of Grand Junction snapped a seven game home winning streak and a current five game winning streak the Owlz had entering game four of the series as they defeated the Owlz 10-4 on Friday night.The night was slow for the Owlz as they were held scoreless for eight innings. As for the Rockies they scored their first six runs in innings three, four and five take a 6-0 lead after five innings of play. They weren't done there, as they found a way to score three more runs in the in the eighth and one more final run in the ninth.
In the bottom of the ninth Jared Foster hit a two run double to get the Owlz on the board for the first time of the night. Then, Ranyelmy Mendoza hit home his 20 RBI on the year that sent Foster home, then the final run of the night for Orem, came off a wild throw to first that led Mendoza to come home for the fourth run of the night.
The Owlz will now hit the road for three straight games as they will travel to Idaho Falls with the first pitch scheduled for 6:00 MT.
