Owlz Get Back on Winning Track in Doubleheader Wins

BILLINGS- On Friday night at the ball park in Billings, the fans in attendance saw not one, but two games as the Orem Owlz and Billings Mustangs played a doubleheader and the first game turned out to a be thriller that went to extra innings.
In the first inning of play the Owlz saw their top of the lineup go three up, three down before the Mustangs came up to the plate to score the first run of the night, but in the third inning is where the Owlz lineup shined as Juan Moreno hit a single, then Agendy Perez was dinged by a pitch that all led two back to back hits by Kyle Survance and Jeffrey Boehm to take the first lead of the night for the Owlz in the third inning.
Despite having a one run lead the home team wasn't going to give up and in the fifth inning of play Reydel Medina hit a shot to right field over the wall to even the score at 2.
After four straight innings of play with no runs by either team, it led to things going into extra innings and in the 10 inning is where the Owlz took over the game as two errors, two successful bunts and good all-around hitting as a team helped the Owlz score five runs and capture the victory that helped the Owlz snap a three game losing streak and win the first game of the double header.
In Game 2 of the doubleheader, the Owlz started right where they left off in Game 1 as in the top of the first inning of play they saw five runs cross the plate and in the top of the second inning Boehm hit a solo shot to right field to extend the lead to 6-0.
Despite having a six run lead in the early going, the Mustangs fired back with three runs in the third inning to cut the lead in half. The Mustangs tacked one more run on the night, but that was the final score of the night.
The Owlz won the doubleheader series in Billings to get back on the winning track after falling in their last three games.
