RAPTORS WALK-OFF ON GF
Ogden earned a series win over the Voyagers as Gage Green hit a walk-off homer on the first pitch of the ninth inning Friday to give the Raptors a 5-4 win and a 4-3 season series victory. Great Falls took the lead in the fourth, as Zach Fish hit a two-run homer, but Ogden took the lead in the home half with three two-out runs. After a Frank Califano RBI single tied it in the fifth, the Raptors again answered with a two-out tally in the bottom of the inning to regain the lead. Fish homered to start the sixth for the Voyagers, tying the game at four, before both offenses went quiet for the next few innings until Green's walk-off home run.
EINHARDT COMES IN ROLLIN'
Right-hander Evin Einhardt enters tonight's start coming off of back-to-back wins on the Voyagers last homestand. Six days ago, the Battle Creek, Mich., native gave up just one run on two hits in a win over Ogden. In his start prior to that, the righty offered up his second quality start of 2015, holding Idaho Falls to two unearned runs on three hits in six innings of work to earn the win. He faces the Chukars again tonight.
NOTHING FISHY HERE
Catcher Zach Fish has been red hot as of late, posting multi-hit efforts in five of the six games during his current hitting streak, the longest he has had this season. Over this stretch, the former Oklahoma State Cowboy is 12-24 (.500), boosting his average to .359, the 10th-highest average in the league. Fish has swatted four homers during this run, with three over the last two games, including a pair in last night's loss. The backstop has also collected at least one RBI in each of his last six games, and 11 total during this run, pushing his season total to 17, which is second on Great Falls behind Jake Jarvis who has 19.
NEXT UP: IDAHO FALLS
After dropping their last two in Ogden, Great Falls continues their seven-game road trip tonight with the opener of a four-game series at Melaleuca Field in Idaho Falls. Back at Centene Stadium last week, the Voyagers took two out of three from the Chukars. The Voyagers enter tonight's game on a two-game losing streak, tied for their longest so far this season. Idaho Falls comes in having won three straight.
