Owlz drop rain-shortened finale

Northern Colorado Owlz News Release
The final game of the regular season was ended abruptly after five innings due to a power outage at the Home of the Owlz.
Trailing 8-4, two of the six sets of lights that illuminate the park powered off following the completion of the home half of the fifth inning.
Casper jumped out early by posting six runs in the first off Owlz starter Bobby Cassevah. After two walks and a hit batsman, the bases were loaded for Rockies' catcher Austin Rauch. Rauch delivered a 2-RBI single. Following an RBI groundout to make it 3-0, Jay Cox belted a 3-run homer over the right field wall to double the lead.
Casper would add single runs in the second and fifth innings on an RBI double by Helder Velazquez and a solo homer from Mauris Loupadiere.
Orem's Chris Pettit belted a 2-RBI double in the third to get the Owlz on the board. It was his league-leading 25th two-bagger of the season.
The Owlz would add two more runs in the fourth on RBI singles from Carlos Colmenares and Ricky Bambino to trim the Casper lead down to 7-4.
Then, after the solo homer in the top of the fifth, the Owlz were set down in order in the bottom of the fifth prior to the power outage.
The Owlz finish the regular season 43-31, 22-16 in the second half.
The team now heads up to Idaho Falls for game one of the Divisional Series tomorrow night at 7:15 P.M. from McDermott Field.
Games two and three (if necessary) are right here in Orem on Saturday at 7:05 P.M. and Sunday on 4:05 P.M.
The Northern Divisional Series features the Billings Mustangs and the Missoula Osprey.

NOTE: Anyone who attended tonight's shortened game can come to the Owlz ticket office and receive a free reserved ticket voucher to Saturday's game against the Chukars. Also on Saturday, any fan who brings their ticket stub from the BYU game will receive a free general admission ticket.
