Northern Colorado Owlz News Release
At the conclusion of tonight's final regular season game, the Orem Owlz began their journey up north for a Divisional Series battle against the Idaho Falls Chukars. Game one is tomorrow evening at 7:15 P.M. from McDermott Field.
The Owlz won both the first and second half Southern Division title and have home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Home field in the Divisional Series is awarded to the team who claims the first half title. The Championship Series, meanwhile, alternates each year between the two leagues. Last year the Northern Division hosted and this year the Southern.
In the Northern Divisional Series, the Billings Mustangs are pitted against the Missoula Osprey. Like Orem, Billings won both halves in their division.
Idaho Falls and Missoula, the two Wild Card recipients, qualified for the final playoff spots by having the second best overall record for both halves combined in their respective divisions.
