
Outfielder Cheatham Promoted To Dash

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (APRIL 28, 2010) - The Winston-Salem Dash today added outfielder Jordan Cheatham (pronounced CHEET-um) to the active roster. Cheatham was promoted from low-A Kannapolis.
An Indianapolis native, Cheatham hit .227 with two home runs and four RBI in 12 games with the Intimidators. He began the 2009 season with Kannapolis, hitting .202 with a home run and six RBI in 30 games. He finished the season with Great Falls, batting .330 with two home runs and 34 RBI in 61 games with the Voyagers.
Cheatham was selected by Chicago in the 43rd round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft out of Wabash Valley College (Mount Carmel, IL).
The Dash roster has reached the Carolina League limit of 25 players.
Winston-Salem continues its three-game series with the Frederick Keys tonight at BB&T Ballpark. RHP Nevin Griffith (3-0, 0.90) makes his fourth start for the Dash against Frederick's Cole McCurry (1-0, 1.93). First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
