Evansville Otters News Release

July 24, 2008, Loves Park, Ill. - Evansville fell behind early 5-0 and could not come back on Rockford, who picked up the win 9-4. Six pitchers threw for Rockford who had to go with their bullpen tonight. They would give up 10 hits, but Evansville played a sloppy game, committing four errors, and stranding 18 base runners, 13 of them in scoring position.

Adam Rogers (5-3) picked up the loss for the Otters who will try to quickly erase this one from their mind as they get set for game two tomorrow night at 7:05 with a pair of lefties on the mound. Rockford will throw Garrett Bauer (6-3) against former Purple Ace Kai Tuomi (0-1).
