Erie, PA - The Erie Otters attempted a comeback with three goals in the third period but the Guelph Storm would capture a 6-4 victory Sunday afternoon at Tullio Arena.

The Storm got on the board first with a pair of goals late in the first period courtesy of Brock McGinn and Hunter Garlent.

McGinn scored his second goal of the game 10:11 into the second period to give the Storm a 3-0 lead. Mitch Eisenberg quickly answered with his third goal of the season at 10:58 to put the Otters on the board.

Jason Dickinson scored late in the second period to put the Storm back up by three goals going into the second intermission.

A double minor for high sticking on Scott Kosmachuk allowed the Otters to get back into the game, as they scored on both ends of the power play. Dane Fox put the Otters within two at 4:02 of the third as he blasted a shot into the top shelf of the net for his 22nd goal of the season.

Anthony Cortellessa then scored his third goal in two games as he knocked in a rebound off of an Adam Pelech shot for his seventh goal of the season at 5:12.

Kosmachuk then scored what would end up as the game-winner with 4:40 to go. Jake Evans put the Otters back within one with his 11th goal of the season as he worked hard to dig out the puck from the boards and fired a shot between the legs of Garret Sparks with 3:08 remaining.

Zack Mitchell would add an empty net goal with 40 seconds remaining and seal the win for the Storm. The Otters outshot the Storm, 35-31, as Pelech had two assists for the Otters.

The Otters have a rematch against the Storm Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. Listen to all the action on Fox Sports Radio AM 1330 The Fan.

Fan Appreciation Night is Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. The Otters celebrate St. Patrick's Day with special jerseys and green ice as Greg McKegg and the London Knights come into town.
