OSHAWA, Ont. - Cal Clutterbuck scored three times to lead the Oshawa Generals to a 5-3 win over the Erie Otters in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 3,021 at the Oshawa Civic Auditorium. Peter Tsimikalis added a goal and three assists for the Generals while Bret Nasby scored the other. The Generals ended a six-game losing streak with the win to improve to 4-16-1 on the season. Mike Blunden scored twice for the Otters. Vince Scott had the other. Erie sunk to 10-9-3 on the season. Oshawa led 2-1 after one and 5-1 heading into the third. The Generals out shot the Otters 40-26 as Josh Disher took the loss. The three stars of the game were 1. Clutterbuck; 2. Nasby and 3. Tsimikalis.
The Otters return home tomorrow (Saturday) night to the Tullio Arena when the London Knights make their first visit of the season. The Erie General Electric Federal Credit Union presents the 7:30 p.m. start with the first 400 fans into the game receiving a free copy of the latest edition of the Otters Game Night Program. Tickets for the game are available at all Erie-area TicketMaster locations as well as the Erie Civic Center Box Office. The game also be heard live on SportsRadio 1330 The FAN and on-line at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company). Hamot Hockey Night begins with the pre-game show at 7:15 p.m. The game can also be seen live on the Image Sports Network (Adelphia Channel 12, Time Warner Channel 20). Hamot Hockey Night in Erie begins at 7:30 p.m.
