
Ottawa Senators Reassign Macoy Erkamps, Gabriel Gagne to Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Ottawa Senators announced today that the club has reassigned forward Gabriel Gagne and defenseman Macoy Erkamps to the Binghamton Senators from the club's ECHL affiliate, the Wichita Thunder.
Gagne, 20, has seven points (three goals, four assists) in 14 games played with the Thunder. A native of Laval, Que., Gagne was drafted by Ottawa in the second round (36th overall) in the 2015 NHL Draft. Prior to his first professional season, Gagne recorded 28 points in 34 games for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Shawinigan Cataractes. In their playoff run, the forward tallied 22 points in 21 games.
Erkamps, 21, has seven assists from the blue line in 15 games with Wichita this year. The Delta, B.C. native helped lead the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings to a WHL Championship in 2015-16. As the team's captain, Erkamps led all defensemen in the WHL with 58 assists.
