(Peterborough, ON) On November 17th, the Petes hosted the Oshawa Generals for the second matchup between the two rivals this season. It would be the first home game for newly acquired Petes forward Brennan Othmann, who was traded to the Petes from the Flint Firebirds Saturday, November 12th for Artem Guryev and three priority selections. The Petes would beat the Generals by a score of 4-0.
It was Special Olympics night at the PMC as the Peterborough Police Service, Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) and Special Olympics Ontario teamed up with the Petes to Raise Funds and Awareness for Individuals with an Intellectual Disability. Approximately $3,000 was raised on the night in support of the LETR and Special Olympics Ontario.
J.R. Avon and Konnor Smith both led the Petes with two points each, Brennan Othman scored his first as a Pete, and Jack Van Volsen added another. Shawn Spearing recorded his first assist of the year, Tommy Purdeller, Tucker Robertson, and Brian Zanetti all added an assist in the win. Michael Simpson continued his hot start, stopping all 26 shots he faced.
