SUGAR LAND, Texas - The USSSA Pride announced left-handed pitcher and Houston native, Cat Osterman as the starting pitcher for the first game against the Dallas Charge on Monday night. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. with gates opening at 6.

In summer of 2001, after graduating from Cypress Springs High School as the Gatorade National Softball Player of the Year, Osterman was invited to join USA Softball's national team. Over the years, Cat has accumulated impressive stats and won other numerous awards. She ranks first in the nation in strikeouts per seven innings at 15.4, and is the first softball player to twice appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated. She owns four of the top five seasons for the NCAA's best strikeout ratio (strikeouts per seven innings pitched), and was the first of only three NCAA pitchers to register 2,000-plus strikeouts. Cat won a gold medal in the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics for Team USA.

Tickets are still available for both games. Admission is $10 for Box Seats and $35 for Insperity Club and Imperial Seats, which includes food. Fans wishing to purchase tickets to the games can visit the Sugar Land Skeeters box office or online at SugarLandSkeeters.com.

The NPF is the only professional women's softball league in the United States and features five teams with the Akron Racers, Chicago Bandits and Pennsylvania Rebellion, along with the Pride and the Charge. Additionally, the NPF is an Official Development Partner with Major League Baseball.
