Osprey home for 7-game stand featuring 4th of July Fireworks

MISSOULA, MONT - The Missoula Osprey will have a busy week ahead of them when they return home on Wednesday, June 27, to begin a seven-game homestand that will feature a special jersey night, the latest in the Montana Fire Prevention Series bobbleheads, the Osprey BrewFest and it will all be capped off by the annual 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza.

Tickets are going quickly for the 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza night, which will be on Tuesday, July 3, when the Osprey will conclude their four-game series with the Billings Mustangs. The ever-popular low-level display is set to patriotic music, and is a fan favorite. The fireworks show is presented by First Security Bank and ABC 23.1, and is subject to weather conditions.

On Thursday, it's Ronald McDonald House Jersey Night, presented by Dr. Pepper. The Osprey will be wearing special jerseys to honor the Ronald McDonald House. The jerseys will be auctioned off and given to the highest bidder following the game. Fans can bid on the jerseys both at the stadium and online at MissoulaOsprey.com.

On Friday, the Osprey, in partnership with Montana Fire Prevention, present the latest in the Wildland Firefighter bobblehead series with a Smokejumper bobblehead. The bobblehead, which will go to the first 750 fans who enter the gates, is very detailed, down to the parachute, and depicts the brave people who jump into the middle to help fight a wildfire. It's also Happy Hour Night, featuring food and drink specials from 5:30 until 6:30. Gates open at 5:30, with the first pitch slated for 7:05.

The annual Osprey Brewfest is slated for Saturday, June 30, when the Osprey will open a four-game series with the Billings Mustangs. Enjoy the finest brews Montana has to offer while getting exclusive access to the pre-game workouts as well as great food and entertainment. The event will begin at 3 p.m.

The homestand begins on Wednesday with the first BioLife Plasma Services Buck Night. Fans can go to BioLife Plasma Services to pick up a voucher good for a $1 general admission ticket to any of the Wednesday regular season home games.

It will also be the first Senior Wednesday of the season, presented by Fire Ready Montana and KGVO 101.5 FM. Seniors ages 55 and older can get a 2-for-1 general admission ticket deal with identification, and will be able to walk the bases following the game. Gates will open at 6:30, with the first pitch against the Helena Brewers slated for 7:05.

A new staple for Thursdays will be Free Parking Thursday, sponsored by ESPN Montana 97.5. On Thursdays beginning June 28, Osprey fans will be able to park for FREE until the main lot at the stadium is full. Another feature coming to Thursdays this season is We Win You Win - If the Osprey win on Thursday during the regular season at home, then everyone in the ballpark will receive a voucher for a FREE general admission ticket to a future Sunday-Wednesday regular season home game. Gates will open at 6:30, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05.

Saturday, June 30, also brings Osprey fans the next Game Show Night, which will feature Family Feud, and the next edition of Launch-A-Ball, where cash and prizes, including a pair of reserved season tickets, will be given away. Gates will open at 6:30 for fans not attending Brewfest, with the first pitch slated for 7:05.

Sunday's 5:05 start against Billings is another Kid's Day and Kid's Club Membership Day, sponsored by Mismo Gymnastics, First Choice Medical Clinic and ZOO 107.5. The game is centered on kid's promotions, music & activities. Following the game, all fans can run around the bases and play catch on the field.

Plus, the new Sunday standard promotion is Social Media Sunday, presented by ESPN Montana 97.5. Fans that follow the Missoula Osprey on Facebook and Twitter will be able to use code words for special ticket offers every Sunday. Gates will open at 4:30 on Sunday for the 5:05 game with the Mustangs.

Monday will be the first Family Night of the 2012 season. Fans can get four general admission tickets, four hot dogs, four bags of chips, four regular sodas and one super scorecard for just $30 with the donation of non-perishable food items. All food collected benefits the Poverello Center. Family ight is sponsored by Maximized Living and Cherry Creek Radio. Gates will open at 6:30, and the first pitch with the Mustangs is slated for 7:05.

The July 3 contest will also be the first Bike to the Ballpark night of the season, sponsored by Missoula in Motion and The Trail 103.3. Fans will be able to get a 2-for-1 deal on general admission tickets when they bike to the game.

Also on July 3, a special edition of Launch-A-Ball will take place. Fans are able to purchase numbered tennis balls are sold for $1 each. Following the game, and before the fireworks, fans throw their tennis ball(s) on the field toward colored hoops in an attempt to win cash and prizes. Two reserved season tickets will be given away to a lucky participant. Gates will open at 6:30, with a first pitch of 7:05.
